Hello darkness, my old friend
And I used to complain about Ivey, and how I’d wake up before the sun was up.
The most disconcerting part of transitioning to Norway is the sunlight, or lack-thereof. I thought that I had a class today (more on that later) and got up at 7:30am. After getting ready I look at my watch, then through the window. Pitch black. It’s 8:05am. Only closer to 9am did the sun start to peep over the horizon.
The sun also never reaches the high noon point over here. Rather than be an annoyance, though, the eye-level sun gives a much needed vitamin D boost. Bring your sunglasses, but be prepared to only need them for about three or four hours.
As for the class I thought that I had? Turns out it starts next week. I’m going a little stir crazy without any classes. Bergen is only so big.
OMG, so you were up early for nothing? What did you end up doing instead?
Work on a consulting project that is still going on. Then installed Ubuntu on Jason’s computer and watched Hard Boiled. Very geeky.
